In a recent lesson we looked at the front cover of a magazine. It was to do with the british film industry over many years. The picture consisted of a large pile of film reels stacked into a large pile, appearing to go high into the sky. However, it was obvious that perhaps this magazine appealed to a older male and female age group, as it was sponsored by a car company called 'Volkswagen'. Furthermore, the colours were not particularly eye catching as it mainly consisted of greys and blues. The style of font chosen was quite classic, thus suggesting it may appeal to people with an interest in a magazine with more of a history to it.
We then compared this magazine front cover to a more new, recent, modern film magazine called 'empire'. The front cover to this contained a lot more colour and images that were perhaps more eye catching.
