In order to propare for the A2 practical coursework, I have looked at numerous teaser trailers such as Cloverfield and The Dark Knight.
The Cloverfield teaser trailer became popular mostly due to complementry media such as myspace and facebook. However, word of mouth also helped increase the popularity of the teaser trailer as well as online and mobile adverts.
The Dark Knight teaser trailer also had similar ways of advertising its teaser trailer. I also discovered that its official movie website helped do this also as it was a much waited for film.
